In Fellix, circle forms are connected gracefully onto the vertical stems and the terminals are also diagonal. In Gellix the terminals are horizontal or vertical and the circle forms are connected gracefully onto the vertical stems. In Hellix, circle forms are “punched” into the vertical stems and the terminals are diagonal. You will also find less geometrically based alternatives.

I enjoyed having the possibility to create tensions between circular and square shapes. At that time I fell in love with Paul Renner’s first sketch of Futura and I also explored stylistic sets, so I added a lot of strict and cold alternatives (“a, g, m, n, r, t, etc.”). It was designed during an internship at the Type Design and Typography Studio at UMPRUM in Prague. Hellix is a mono-linear geometrical sans-serif font family.
